Overview

Shamrock Foods’ order scheduling system had become outdated and inefficient, burdened by over a decade of patchwork solutions that attempted to keep the system functional. The lack of a structured, scalable solution led to inconsistent workflows, inefficiencies, and heavy reliance on institutional knowledge rather than clear, documented processes.

To ensure the new system met the needs of all stakeholders, extensive research and interviews were conducted across multiple departments, gathering insights from those who used the system daily. The design process focused on:

  • Identifying inefficiencies – Mapping out pain points in the existing workflow.
  • Standardizing processes – Creating a unified scheduling framework that could work across all departments.
  • Enhancing usability – Designing an intuitive UI that reduced reliance on prior system knowledge.

Challenge
